My sweet, loving, 13 year old dog fell off of the couch this morning. After she was on the floor, she refused to move. We took her to the vet and they did a X-ray and ultrasound and found a mass near her liver that had caused a burst and a hemorrhage. Our vet told us that we had two options, go into surgery and hope that we caught it in time, or put her down. We opted to put her down because she was 13 and in a lot of pain.
I remember finding her as a 4 week old puppy running down the street, scared. I was with her when she joined the family and I was with her when she left.

Man that is super tough, really sorry for your loss. It is a shame that dogs don’t live longer.

I’m so sorry. My dog turned 13 about a week ago, so this hits close to home. I can’t imagine what you’re going through right now.

I’m sorry; my dog was put down on Memorial Day. Hope my dog meets yours in the other life :)

Sorry to hear.
It sucks to lose pets. A lot. My 2 cats both dies within the last 10 months (Sabrina, 16 in Oct ‘15, and Busta, 13 a few weeks ago. There are times I miss them a lot - I won’t reminisce though as it will only cause tears to flow.
